Need some good soul food? This is the spot to hit up. Came here with a friend for dinner and we decided to try just about everything on the menu. The Fried Chicken tasted great. Battered and fried to perfection and the meat was moist. We also got the Fried Catfish, which I was surprised how that tasted. It is lightly battered and seasoned nicely. The fish itself was not dried out. For sides, the Mac & Cheese and Potato Salad are must have. Collard Greens were pretty good if you're trying to be on the healthier side. Yellow Rice is decent, but I'd probably get the first two mentioned over the rice. We also got a Apple and Peach Cobbler. The Apple Cobbler tastes much better than the Peach. My soul was definitely satisfied from this meal. Only if they opened a location in Manhattan.

Visiting from Vermont and as a cornbread lover did a double take while driving by. Later that evening my wife and I walked fifteen minutes to try it out. What a wonderful surprise! I had baked chicken in a honey sauce with a side of black eyed peas a two pieces of cornbread. The dish comes with one so I ordered another. The chicken is fall off the bone delicious and combined with the beans and cornbread it was all mind swimmingly delicious! It's a spacious dining room with very roomy booths. It's definitely way better than fast food, but not fine dining. My meal was under twenty bucks. Soulful food and not too loud soulful music mixed with the smiling faces of the well fed patrons is hard to beat. Can't wait to return

I did a pickup order and I can say customer service is definitely great. The ambiance is amazing and very chilled vibes. I had the fried chicken, mac n cheese, collard greens, yams and cornbread. The Mac n cheese was not what I expected and lacked cheese along with flavor 2/5 . All of my other sides and chicken did taste great 4/5. As for the cornbread it's good but if an establishment is called "Cornbread" I want the cornbread to stand out like real "CORNBREAD" it was giving standard cornbread flavor, but nonetheless tasty. It's a little on the pricier side but they do have a fried chicken lunch special you can get for cheaper. I'd stop on by again if I'm in the area.

The name definitely speaks for itself because the cornbread was delicious! Very moist and sweet just like how I like it. The fried whiting could use some more flavor and the rice with Turkey gravy. I thought the macaroni and cheese was pretty good and the chicken was seasoned well. The southern twang drink tasted like either minute maid Orangeade or Tampico Citrus punch. I would come back if there is nothing else to eat in the area.

From around the corner as we walked up to the entrance, we could smell the soul food cooking inside. It only made us more excited! I opted for the two piece with Mac and cheese as my side and my boyfriend did the three piece. I felt the Mac and cheese was just okay - I'd probably go for another side next time. The star of the show was the piping hot fried chicken and of course, the cornbread. That little slice of cornbread stole the show in my opinion. I'd go back just for that tbh.

The service at cornbread is A+ we were greeted like we are part of the family. Love it! I went with my family and they agreed the fried chicken, catfish meal and catfish sandwich, cornbread and drinks are "buss-in" I didn't care for the potato salad it was a 7 and the yams are a 7. I think it's just not the way we're use to. We will be back regardless Family said it's definitely a mistake not to visit again. I agree!

This gave me a touch of home. I really loved everything I got from the cornbread, fried chicken, collard greens (extra yummy!) and mac and cheese. When it comes to cornbread everyone has their preferences, I personally love a variety of different kinds and for different reasons. This one is more like a cake but it is super moist and dessert like. I loved it. Mixed with some of the savory sides, it was such a delicious and balanced meal. This is a very fast, casual spot, perfect for a lazy meal or a weeknight dinner. I happened to come in right after a crowd of 30 people all eating together and they were kind enough to bring my food out quickly before they had to fill their large order, great service.

First, don't expect fine dining or a true sit down restaurant when you come here. Despite ample seating, it's more of a fast casual spot. There's kiosks to order and a live cashier at Chipotle like stations. Everything looks clean and well maintained. Now, we were definitely pleasantly surprised by the food. All were hot and delicious so I'd definitely recommend it. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because there's not much direction for newbies. Initially we didn't realize that it wasn't a sit down spot, didn't know where to sit, and there's a strong smell- it's food related but overpowering.

I've been seeing this Resturant pop up on IG all the time and just so happen I was in the area and dropped in. The ambiance is very causal, take out or sit down. (Get your order and sit down ) The food was great! Fresh and delicious. I tried the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, cornbread and the twang drink. All very good. Service was decent. I'd certainly come back to try the fish and some additional sides.
